It's important to keep your mobile phone number, recovery email address, and profile information current on your Netscape Connect account. This helps prevent you from getting locked out if you forget your username or password.

Add a mobile phone number

If you don't have a mobile phone number listed on your account, here's how to add one.

1. Sign in to your account security page.
2. Click Add recovery phone number.
3. Choose your country from the drop-down list.
4. Enter your mobile phone number in the Mobile Number field.
5. Click Send SMS to receive an SMS text message with a verification code, or click Call me to receive a phone call with a verification code.
6. Enter your verification code in the field provided.
7. Click Verify.

Update a mobile phone number

If you've previously added a mobile phone number and want to change it, here's how.

1. Sign in to your account security page.
2. Click Phone numbers.
3. Click Add recovery phone number.
4. Choose your country from the drop-down list.
5. Enter your mobile phone number in the Mobile Number field.
6. Click Send SMS to receive an SMS text message with a verification code, or click Call me to receive a phone call with a verification code.
7. Enter your verification code in the field provided.
8. Click Verify.

Add a recovery email address

If you don't have a recovery email address listed on your account, here's how to add one.

1. Sign in to your account security page.
2. Click Add recovery email address.
3. Enter a valid email address you have access to that's different from your Netscape Connect account email address.
4. Click Send verification email.

A verification email will be sent to the recovery email address you've provided. You'll need to follow the instructions in this email to verify this email address.

Update a recovery email address

If you've previously added a recovery email address and want to change it, here's how.

1. Sign in to your account security page.
2. Click Email addresses.
3. Click Add recovery email address.
4. Enter a valid email address you have access to that's different from your Netscape Connect account email address.
5. Click Send verification email.

A verification email will be sent to the recovery email address you've provided. You'll need to follow the instructions in this email to verify this email address.

Update your profile information

You can update your first name, last name, and Netscape Connect nickname in the Personal info section of your account settings and information page.

1. Sign in to your account settings and information page.
2. Click on your first name, last name, or Netscape Connect nickname to edit it.
3. Enter your updated information.
4. Click Save.
